Data Deletion Instructions

You can delete your AutoFlow Chat account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and how long it takes.

How to delete your account

Option 1: In-app (recommended)

1. Sign in to AutoFlow Chat at chat.autoflowlabs.in
2. Go to Settings → Account
3. Click Delete account
4. Confirm by entering your phone number
5. Your account is queued for deletion

Note: in-app deletion is coming in a future release. Until then, please use Option 2.

Option 2: Email request

Email support@autoflowlabs.in from the email address or phone number associated with your account, with subject line “Delete my account”.

Include:

• Your registered phone number
• Your business name
• A brief reason (optional, helps us improve)

We will acknowledge within 2 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, the following are permanently removed:

• Your account profile (phone number, business name, brand profile)
• Your WhatsApp Business connection details (encrypted access tokens, WABA IDs)
• All your customer conversations (messages, contacts, media files)
• All your templates, broadcasts, and uploaded knowledge documents
• All your usage logs and analytics data

The following may be retained as required by law:

• Tax invoices and payment records (retained as required by Indian tax law, typically 7 years)
• Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics (cannot be linked back to you)
• Logs required for security incident investigation

Timeline

• Day 0: You request deletion (via in-app or email)
• Day 1-2: We acknowledge receipt
• Day 3-7: Your WhatsApp connection is severed; account marked for deletion
• Day 7-30: Active data is removed from our systems
• Day 30-90: Encrypted backups containing your data are rotated out

After day 30, your data is removed from active systems. Backups are encrypted and inaccessible to operations staff, and are automatically destroyed within 90 days.

Your customers’ data

If you delete your account, your customers’ WhatsApp messages with you are also deleted from AutoFlow Chat. This does NOT delete the messages from your customers’ own WhatsApp apps — that is outside our control and remains under your customers’ control.

Your customers’ WhatsApp numbers and message history are not retained by us after your account deletion (except in encrypted backups as described above).

Disconnecting WhatsApp without deleting your account

If you only want to disconnect your WhatsApp Business number without deleting your AutoFlow Chat account:

1. Go to Settings → WhatsApp connection
2. Click Disconnect
3. Confirm

Disconnecting:

• Severs the link between AutoFlow Chat and your WhatsApp number
• Stops new messages from flowing into AutoFlow Chat
• Retains your historical conversation data and account
• Allows you to reconnect later (you can re-do Embedded Signup)
